    Málaga is Andalucia's coastal capital. It is typically Andaluz and underestimated by many tourists who visit the coast without making a trip to this wonderful city surrounded by history of 3,000 years. It has been occupied by the Romans, the Moors and Carthaginians Their influences are apparent in this city including a fortress, La Alcazaba, which dates back to 1065.

    Málaga's old town has a Moorish air with tiny streets, baroque facades and lots of plazas with an abundance of tapas bars.

    Marbella

    Marbella is the most famous resort on the costa del Sol, it is cosmopolitan and glamourous. It boasts 26 kms of beaches, top class beachfront hotels, a promenade of shops and restaurants, water sports, a marina, a lighthouse and a small fishing port.

    Marbella also has a very traditional old town known as the casco antiguo, which has cobbled streets white washed houses covered in Bouganvillea, a plaza full of orange trees, a church and many restaurants.

    The backdrop to Marbella is the beautiful La Concha mountain.

    Puerto Banús

    Only 6kms west of Marbella, Puerto Banus is the ultimate playground for the rich and famous. Built by Don Jose Banus in 1970 it was the Costa del Sols first pleasure harbour.

    The marina harbours some of the largest and most luxurious yachts you will see anywhere.

    During the day you can browse the vast selection of designer shops and boutiques. There is also a shopping mall and large department store. Or you can visit the beautiful beach.

    By night the place is alive with bars, restaurants and nightclubs, ther is also a 7 screen cinema complex and casino.

    Benalmádena

    Benalmádena costa is located just west of Málaga and Torremolinos, a buzzing family resort offering many attractions, 9km of beaches and a fully equipped marina for more than 1,000 boats. Its night life attracts people from all over and there is an extensive choice of restaurants.

    Just north of Benalmádena Costa is Benalmádena Pueblo a typical white washed village.

    Fuengirola

    Fuengirola is a lively place which has hosted tourism since the 60s, full of bars, restaurants and home to a zoo, water park and childrens fun park. The long sandy beaches are famous on the coast it is overlooked by the longest promenade on the coast, it will take 2 hours to walk from one end to the other.

    There is the castle Sohail marking the entrance of Fuengirola , Roman Columns in Los Boliches and Thermal baths in Torreblanca.

    The town is host to concerts and festivals throughout the year.

    Torremolinos

    Torremolinos is only 8kms east of Malaga airport, it started as a tiny fishing village and has now become one of the largest and most popular resorts on the coast. It is a family resort which offers an unbeatable range of hotels, restaurants, bars, discos, shops and even an aqua park.

    There are 2 principle beaches which are long and sandy and offer great facilities.
